Apply now through April 15, 2018 for holistic, mentoring, and paid internships that run from June to August 2018. Broad Futures serves young adults between the ages of 18-26 who have a documented learning disabilities, possess a high school diploma, are responsive to direction and are independent. There are currently three open internships at The Smithsonian (any of the museums) and two with CSIS (Center for Strategic and International Studies) as well as the American Psychological Association.
Broad Futures serve students with diagnosis non-apparent disabilities, so ADHD, LD, as well as autism spectrum and mental health (as long as there is an accompanying LD or ADHD). CSIS applicants should have an interest or concentration international affairs The Smithsonian internships are best suited for interests with a demonstrated interest in any of the museums. The American Psychological Association is interested in students interested in pyschological, marketing, communications, and finance/economics.
